Quickfile description:

Quickfile was initially aimed at speeding up filing of messagesinto your mail folder heirarchy but now includes features for navigation and folder creation.

Select a message, hit ALT+Q, start typing. TAB works to select options if you want. On OS X change the shortcut to CONTROL+Q since that appears to work.

You can resize the dialog if it's not big enough for you, and Quickfile remembers this for next time.
